Advisory Committee on Commercial Remote Sensing

The Advisory Committee on Commercial Remote Sensing (ACCRES) was a U.S. federal advisory committee established in 2002 to advise the NOAA Under Secretary on commercial remote sensing issues. It played an advisory role, providing recommendations on policies affecting the U.S. commercial space sector, including remote sensing regulations, space sustainability, and the development of a robust commercial space sector. The committee's scope was expanded and renamed the Advisory Committee on Excellence in Space (ACES) in 2024, but the committee was terminated effective February 28, 2025.
