The Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure awarded SpaceX a contract to launch Turksat 6A, scheduled for the first quarter of 2023.
Turksat 6A will operate from 42 degrees east with a payload of Ku- and X-band transponders.
The Turkish government is scheduled to launch Turksat 6A, an upgraded domestically produced satellite, in 2023.

The Falcon 9 first stage booster supporting SXM-9 previously launched CRS-26, OneWeb Launch 16, Intelsat IS-40e, O3b mPOWER, Ovzon 3, Eutelsat 36D, Turksat 6A, Maxar 2, and 10 Starlink missions.
This will be the 22nd and final flight for the Falcon 9 first stage booster supporting the SpainSat NG II mission, which previously launched CRS-26, OneWeb Launch 16, Intelsat IS-40e, SES O3b mPOWER-C, Ovzon-3, Eutelsat 26D, Turksat 6A, Maxar 2, SXM-9, and 12 Starlink missions.
