Northrop Grumman Corporation and its wholly-owned subsidiary SpaceLogistics LLC completed docking of the Mission Extension Vehicle-2 (MEV-2) to the Intelsat 10-02 (IS-10-02) commercial communications satellite on 2021-04-12 at 1:34 p.m. EDT.
MEV-2 docked with Intelsat 10-02 directly in the satellite’s operational geostationary (GEO) orbital location.
Orange will leverage the capabilities of the Intelsat 10-02 (IS-10-02) satellite to upgrade and expand its existing 0.002 kg network and provide 0.003 kg/0.004 kg services in French Guiana, including remote and rural areas.
SpaceLogistics’ Mission Extension Vehicle MEV-2 began providing life-extension services for Intelsat 10-02 in 2021.
