GSAT-29 Mission

The GSLV 2018-03-03 released the GSAT-29 satellite into a geostationary transfer orbit less than 20 minutes after liftoff.
GSAT-29 has a mass of 3,400 kg and will operate from 55 degrees east in geostationary orbit.
GSAT-29 will provide Ka- and Ku-band services and will test experimental Q- and V-band transponders.
As of May 13, 2018, ISRO scheduled the GSLV Mk-III D2/GSAT-29 launch for June or July 2018.
As of July 5, 2018, ISRO's public mission page listed GSLV-MkIII-D2/GSAT-29 as scheduled to be launched during the second half of 2018.
As of April 13, 2018, The Times of India reported that the second demonstration flight of GSLV Mk-III (D2) would by June aim to place the approximately 3.5-tonne GSAT-29 satellite into orbit.
As of August 12, 2018, media reporting projected that GSLV Mk-III D2 would launch GSAT-29 in October 2018.
