Anand is Pixxel’s third hyperspectral satellite following the launch of Shakuntala in April 2022 and a demo satellite in 2021.
Anand will be deployed at an altitude of approximately 510 km in a sun-synchronous lower Earth orbit.
As of January 25, 2022, Pixxel's satellite 'Anand' was removed from the PSLV C51 launch that was scheduled for February 2021 due to software issues.
As of February 5, 2021, ISRO listed the PSLV-C51 co-passenger manifest to include one ISRO satellite INS-2TD, three UNITYSats from a consortium of Indian academic institutes, one Satish Dhawan Sat from Space Kidz India, Anand (Pixxel), and 14 additional small satellites via an NSIL public-private partnership.
Pixxel Space scheduled the Anand satellite to launch in 2021-10-01.
Pixxel launched the hyperspectral satellite Anand on 2022-11-26 on ISRO’s PSLV C54 mission.
