A 2017 presentation and paper showed the UNSW Canberra Space M2 design deploying from a 12U dispenser and separating into two 6U satellites after deployment.
Work on M1 and M2 and their planned launches on SpaceX Falcon 9 rockets is funded from $95,000,000 ispace raised in late 2017.
ispace is developing a second lander, M2, similar in design to M1 that is scheduled for launch in late 2024 and that will carry customer payloads and an ispace-developed micro rover.
