NVS-01 Mission

The indigenous Rubidium atomic clock on NVS-01 was developed by the Space Applications Centre in Ahmedabad.
The GSLV-F12 mission is a Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle mission to deploy the NVS-01 navigation satellite into a Geosynchronous Transfer Orbit.
Subsequent orbit-raising maneuvers will be used to transfer NVS-01 from Geosynchronous Transfer Orbit to its intended final orbit.
The primary mission of the 51.7-meter Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle was to deploy the navigation satellite NVS-01.
As of the 2020/2021 government annual report, future GSLV missions planned to be launched in 2021 were GSLV-F10/EOS-03, GSLV-F12/EOS-05, and GSLV-F14/NVS-01.
